The event commenced with a reception and networking session, allowing attendees to connect and engage in preliminary discussions.
Inaugural Session
The inaugural session began with Tilawat e Quran Pak and Naat, setting a respectful and solemn tone for the event. Following this, the National Anthem was performed. Opening remarks and a welcome note were delivered by Rana Muhammad Awais Khan, Chairman of the National Alliance for Safe Food.
Remarks by Guests of Honor:
- Captain Javed Latif Khan TI(M) PN provided his remarks.
- His Excellency Consul General of Indonesia, Dr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat, addressed the audience.
- Dr. Aftab Imam, District Governor of Rotary International District 3271, shared his insights.
- Dr. Shahnaz Parveen, Director General of PCSIR Karachi, gave her remarks.
Keynote Address: His Excellency Consul General of Malaysia, Mr. Khairul Nazran Abd Rahman, delivered the keynote remarks. This session also included the appreciation and file transfer of the Pakistan Food Nutrition Innovation Center to the NAFS Central Team by TwentyOne Smart City.
Souvenirs & Group Photo: Souvenirs were presented, and a group photo of guests with the NAFS team was taken.
Technical Session
The technical session featured a series of talks by notable experts:
- Miss Anum Liaquat, Head of the Food Department at Jinnah University Karachi, delivered her remarks.
- Danish Wajid, Manager of Technical Sales at AM International, gave a talk on relevant topics.
- Dr. Omer Mukhtar Tarar, Head of the Food and Marine Division at PCSIR Laboratories Karachi, presented his insights.
- Dr. Shahina Naz, Chairperson of the Department of Food Science & Technology at Karachi University, delivered a talk.
- Dr. Naeem Ullah Naeem, General Manager of Popular Group of Industries, provided his remarks.
- Dr. Farhan Essa, CEO of Dr Essa Labs, gave closing remarks and a statement of the World Food Day Resolution.
Token of Appreciation: Tokens of appreciation were distributed among students, followed by a group photo.
Hi-Tea & Stall Visit: The event concluded with a hi-tea session and an opportunity for attendees to visit various stalls.
