Inauguration Ceremony

The Pakistan International Food & Nutrition Health Summit 2022 commenced with a dynamic registration and networking session. The event officially kicked off with the inauguration of the expo, followed by a media talk by the Chief Guest. The inaugural session featured the recitation of the Holy Quran, Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool, and the National Anthem.

Dr. Hafiz Rehan Nadeem, President of the National Alliance for Safe Food, welcomed the guests. The opening remarks were delivered by Mr. Rana Muhammad Awais Khan, Chairman of the National Alliance for Safe Food, who is also the Principal Organizer of the summit. Subsequent remarks were made by esteemed dignitaries, including Prof. Dr. Anwaar Ahmed, Mr. Tayyab Hussain Malik, Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Ali, Mr. Akhtar A. Bughio, Dr. Nazeer Ahmed, Dr. Nouman Rashid Siddiqui, Dr. Abdul Razzaq, Dr. Shahazad Amin, Miss Ismat Gul Khattak, Mr. Aslam Shaheen, Mr. Saqib Rafiq, Prof. Dr. Qamar uz Zaman, Prof. Dr. Shahana Urooj Kazmi, and Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad. The session focused on “Zero Hunger, Food, Pharma & Nutrition – Policy Perspective,” with Dr. Nazeer Ahmed as the Session Chair and Dr. Shinawar Waseem Ali as the Co-Chair. The panel discussion included insights from Mr. Munawar Hussain, Dr. Syed Muzammil Masood, Dr. Sadia Sarwar, Dr. Zafar Mahmood, and Mr. Badar Uzman. The session concluded with closing remarks by the Session Chair and Co-Chair.

Session by Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority
The session on “Impact of Regulations in Healthcare,” coordinated by Mr. Abdullah Sarfraz and Mr. Haseeb Ahmed, was moderated by Dr. Hafiz Rehan Nadeem. Dr. Quaid Saeed and Dr. Shahzad Ali Khan provided opening remarks, with a panel discussion concluding the session.

National Seminar on Halal Food & Pharma
The seminar, coordinated by Ainy Zehra and moderated by Dr. Hafiz Rehan Nadeem, explored various aspects of Halal food and pharma. Notable speakers included representatives from PNAC & PHA, Dr. Noor Wali Shah, Dr. Hafiz Sajid Anwar, Dr. Mufti Muhammad Qasim, Mufti Misbahullah Sabir, Mr. Qasid Ahmad, Dr. Mufti Abdul Karim, and Dr. Kashif. The session concluded with remarks from the Guest of Honor, Mr. Abdullah Hameed Gul, and a final vote of thanks.

Session by HAND Pakistan
Focusing on “One Health & Non-Communicable Diseases,” this session was chaired by Mr. Shahrukh Ali Khan and co-chaired by Dr. Hajra Ahmed. Key topics included drug abuse awareness, alternative medicines, and risk factors associated with NCDs, with talks delivered by experts such as Dr. Humera Shafi Makhdoom, Dr. Daniel Bashir, Ms. Faseeha Aman, Dr. Madiha Iftikhar, Dr. Asad Ali, Dr. Israr, Ms. Qurat Ul Ain, and Dr. Adeela Rehman.
