On June 24, 2025, GAIN Pakistan, in partnership with the National Alliance for Safe Food (NAFS), conducted a professional capacity-building and training workshop for officers of the Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) in observance of World Food Safety Day. The objective of the training was to enhance the technical knowledge and operational capacity of BFA officers in enforcing food safety regulations, minimizing foodborne health risks, and strengthening engagement with Food Business Operators (FBOs).

The workshop covered critical areas including national and international food safety standards, inspection methodologies, risk-based surveillance, and outbreak response strategies. Delivered through expert-led sessions, practical exercises, and collaborative discussions, the training equipped participants with the tools and best practices necessary to improve regulatory compliance and safeguard public health. This initiative reflects a strategic investment in institutional development and reinforces the commitment of all partners toward building a robust food safety ecosystem in Balochistan.
