Muhammad Awais Khan

Expert Food Technologist

Muhammad Awais Khan  is an Expert Food Technologist and currently working as Head of Quality Assurance Bar-B-Q Tonight Group of Restaurants Pakistan. He did MS (Hon) Food Science & Technology from IFSN University of Sargodha and now doing P.hD from DIHE Karachi. The National Alliance for Safe Food (NAFS Pakistan) is the brainchild project of        Mr. Khan with the mission to strive for safe food production and consumption for the betterment of human society and nation development by training and educating the manufacturers and consumers. The Serving Humanity and Nation by Providing Technical Skills in relevant field was the Primary Instruction of His Late Father Dr. Muhammad Tufail. He had served for Department of Food Engineering, NED University of Engineering and Technology. He also involved in teaching, Department of Food Science and Technology, Dadabhoy Institute of Higher Education Karachi and COTHM Karachi as a visiting faculty member.

Along with the Founder of National Alliance for Safe Food (N.A.F.S PAKISTAN) and Head of Quality Assurance Bar-B-Q Tonight group of Restaurants, Mr. Khan also has strong professional associations like; Project Head Certification, Research & Development - HRC Pakistan, Chief Organizer of Food Technologist Community Karachi, Member Board of Technical Committee of PS 3733 & PS 4992 (HFSMS) PSQCA, Member Board of Technical Committee Punjab Food Authority (PFA), Member Special Task Force (FOOD) Team Commissioner Karachi, Founder Member of All Pakistan Restaurant Association (APRA), Member Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), Member Nutritionists Association of Pakistan (NAP), Member Pakistan Nutrition and Dietetics Council (PNDC), Member Pakistan Society of Food Scientists & Technologists (PSFST), Member American Society for Microbiology (ASM).

Mr. Khan also has technical background in the field of food sector and also qualified in different international standards lead auditor course; Certified BRC Global Standard for Food Safety Lead Auditor,  Certified IRCA Food Safety Auditor FSSC 22000, Certified Halaal Food Lead Auditor, Certified Internal Auditor to ISO 9001 & HACCP, Conducting Training and Workshops on Food Safety, Hygiene and Quality, Training on Health, Safety and Environment System, Certified Pest Management Professional, Hotel & Restaurant Industry Expert, Specialist in Food Product Development (Fruits Processing).

Mr. Khan also participated as well as present technical and scientific research papers in various national and international conferences & trainings.
